In general, automotive U-bolts are u-shaped bolts that are used in connection for vehicle suspension like leaf springs. Considered by many as one of the major parts of a vehicle’s leaf spring installation, u-bolts provide a permanent tie between the spring leaves and a vehicle’s axle. When applied, U-bolts provides the force required to clamp the leaf spring and other related components such as top plate, axle seat and bottom plate, firmly together.
